This Sort-of Weird Thing I Do

I started my music journey a handful of years ago.  I grew in stages.  Some years the steps I took were few and other years I took many.  I’m always curious about success stories.  I know now that rarely does an artist rise to the top quickly.  It’s usually a struggle and a longer journey than one would naturally assume.

So I pretty much go to the successful peoples Facebook pages and read their sites from the beginning.  It takes awhile, but it’s fun to do.  It’s also encouraging, because at one point they had posts that only one person “liked”.  I don’t know what my future entails, but I am working hard to understand this music business and build up people who are 100% for me around me.

This year didn’t look like much on paper, but I’ve grown in so many ways. I kicked a heavy burden to the ditch, (maybe spit on it a little bit in disgust,) and healed up.  I learned more about the business side of the music industry.  I’ve learned to keep my mouth shut when people are egging my house, so-to-speak.  I’ve gotten a lot of confidence in who I am as an artist.  And most of all, I’ve got a game plan.  Fingers crossed in hope, I think that 2016 and 2017 will be very successful years for me.

I need all of you with me on this journey.  Thanks so much for all of your support through the years! (((hugs)))
